Its October which means two things, I turn a year older ( yes I will be nearly 30 soon!!!!) and its Breast Awareness month.
So its time to watch this great video from Coppafeel.. It’s so easy to do and as we are always told early detection can save your life. If in any doubt of you still don’t know what you’re looking for don’t be shy book an appointment with your GP and let them have a feel around. I do that all the time and they are always super helpful. Your car needs a service every year so why would you give your boobies a bit of an MOT. Many of us are still a bit too young to be on the National Health’s mammogram programme so its down to us to make sure we check ourselves. While you’re at it get your husband, partner, father or postman to check their breasts too. Male breast cancer while still rare is something that men should be aware of.
In summary a few things to keep an eye out for are;
- A lump or thickening in an area of the breast
- A change in the size or shape of a breast
- Dimpling of the skin
- A change in the shape of your nipple, particularly if it turns in, sinks into the breast, or has an irregular shape
- A blood stained discharge from the nipple
- A rash on a nipple or surrounding area
- A swelling or lump in your armpit
Now on to a subject that is not quite as scary… SHOPPING…..
Lots of companies release products in October which help raise money for Breast Cancer research and frankly some of them are hard to resist….
Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne £76.00.
Creme de La Mer Hand Cream £65.00
and we all love a Chapstick…… available in most great Chemists all over..
So if you need a Christmas gift for someone why not ‘Think Pink’ and kill two birds with one stone..
Happy feeling all and remember its better to be safe than sorry xx
Lots of love
