Just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR thanks for your support during 2015.Life is always busy and I wish I had time to post more about my adventures but if you follow the Love Nellie page on Facebook I post Interior Design and Upcycling Tips daily so make sure you follow.

Anyway wherever you are tonight have a fantastic time- 2015 its a wrap!!!………..

Its been a busy and exciting year for  me and www.lovenellie.co.uk. It started off working with the super talented Sophie Robnison, Judge on the BBC2 programme ‘Great Interior Design Challenge’ at the Ideal Home Show. We spent the week styling up the room sets for the Ideal Home Magazine, I love working with Sophie as she has such creative styling ideas. I come away totally inspired, I also get to see lots of my old pals from the show as the team of handymen and builders from the show are on site with us to help.
March saw the launch of the Henley House and Garden Show where I ran the Love Local Market section and the Upcycling workshops with the very cool Jay Blades. The show was a huge success and we look forward to 2016 where we will be doing it all again on the weekend of the 13th of March. Please do get in touch if you want more information on this year’s show.
The Children’s ‘Upcycling and Craft Bootcamps’ have been busy all year, I have loved the opportunity to inspire the children, turning trash to treasure. When the children are in the workshop there is such a buzz and I love to hear that after they have left they have asked to visit charity shops to find things to upcyyle! There is a whole new generation of Upcyclers being unleashed!
In between doing various Interior Design jobs and teaching people how to Upcycle furniture using chalk paint I also took part in the ‘Gumtree Upcycling Challenge’ turning an old 1980’s computer table into a chic dressing table ! If you have a tired old piece of furniture get in touch as I am very happy to take on commissions and help transform something from tired and unloved to fabulous again.
The last part of the year was slightly manic, helping  Max McMurdo for George Clarke’s Amazing spaces as he transformed a shipping container into a house boat for the Channel 4 Series ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces- Floating Homes’ Max is a legend in the world of Upcycling and the opportunity of working with him was so much fun, hard work with a lot of cake eating but never a dull moment.
If you missed the show you can watch it here on catch up.
So here’s to 2016 lots more Upcycling workshops on the horizon and if you have a room that you need transforming then don’t hesitate to get in touch. Hope to see you all at the Henley House and Garden show. Wishing you all the best for 2016.
Have a great evening, see you on the other side.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
